Day 3: Time Audit and Scheduling
How to make time for what matters—your writing.
We’ve already done some powerful foundational work this week. You have connected with your “why,” and you’ve set a writing goal that’s realistic for your daily life. Now, it’s time to clear the runway for your writing habit to take flight.
To do so, we need to create a writing schedule. If you don’t schedule your writing time, it won’t happen. This isn’t because you’re not disciplined or because you don’t want it enough. It’s simply because life gets busy, and we will always fill up any unclaimed time.
Today is all about getting honest with your time. Where is it going? Where are you giving it away without realizing it? And where could you reclaim some of your time for something that matters to you—writing?
By the end of today, you’ll have a dedicated writing block scheduled on your calendar. We’re going to treat these blocks just like we would for a work meeting, a workout, or coffee with a friend. Let’s stop treating writing like a luxury and start treating it like a priority.
