Day 16: Dealing with Self-Doubt
Silence isn’t the goal, courage Is.
Welcome to Day 16! Today, we’re diving into one of the most challenging aspects of the writer’s journey—self-doubt. If you’ve ever heard that voice in your head saying, “This isn’t good enough,” “No one will care,” or “You’re not a real writer,” you’re not alone. No matter how experienced, every writer hears these thoughts. They creep in when we’re stretching ourselves, pushing boundaries, or putting something deeply personal on the page.
Self-doubt is a normal part of any creative process. But I want you to reframe your thoughts about self-doubt: It shows up because you care. It signals that you’re doing something that matters to you, and your brain is trying to protect you from failure or rejection. But here’s the key: Self-doubt doesn’t get to stop you.
Today, we’ll learn how to push through self-doubt, quiet our inner critics, and write anyway. We’ll never fully be able to silence our doubts, but we can recognize them and move forward despite them.
